You sound like a hard worker and that is respectable. As far as college goes, a child should be on her own if her parents are struggling.

Ross, you sound like a respectful and kind person, unlike others on this board. I believe you should have civil rights such as medical care, transfer of property, etc. As designed as a civil union.

Uh, you forgot the part where the old law of the Old Testament was banished by the law of the New Testament. It was a set of laws for that particular period of time.

If you want to talk Christianity, the bible is explicit in its statements that homosexuality is a sin. There is no question. I can give you the verses. Having said that, adultery, premarital sex, and divorce (outside of adultery or abuse) are sins too.

My husband and I have owned two homes in our life. Both of which we had 20% down and bought well within our means. We live in California and we bought an inventory home last year that was discounted 25% (my husband worked for the builder) for a total price of $289,000 which is good for California.

This problem can easily be foreseen as early as 1999 as you can see by the NY Times article speaking of the pressure from the Clinton administration to lend to subprime borrowers and those with bad credit. We wouldn't be in this housing crisis now if this wasn't the case. Read for yourself:

Don't forget that it was not only the banks writing shady loans, but homeowners borrowing way more than they can afford, taking massive equity lines of credit on their homes, and now foreclosing and leaving the consequences to other homeowners and all of us as taxpayers.
